We will provide you with a high quality white ash turning square in the dimensions of your choice. This blank has already been kiln dried and is ready to be "turned" into your next great project! We recommend using Honey Bee's Natural Wood Cream for a long lasting and food safe finish.

We can sometimes accommodate a larger blank than our standard sizes. Please email us for availability and a quote.

Dimensions may vary +/- 1/4" as we often prefer to lightly skip dress the turning blanks to reveal grain & colour.

The heartwood is a light to medium brown color. Sapwood can be very wide, and tends to be a beige or light brown; not always clearly or sharply demarcated from heartwood. Produces good results with hand or machine tools. Responds well to steam bending. Glues, stains, and finishes well.

A white ash turning square that I used for a hatchet handle

Not having dealt with KJP Select Hardwoods before I gave them a call for some specifics about the wood and my intended use of it. The gentleman who answered was most polite and told me that it was not exactly 2 x 2" which I needed to know. The wood sent had great straight grain and has turned out to be a good looking handle. Only time will tell as to how durable it is. I look forward to seeing the store itself for my future needs.
