Instant LED-UV Curing Hardwax-Oil

Application Instructions
Application amount for LED Smart Oil is approx. 10-15g/m²
Equipment needed:
- White Pad or Roller
- Osmo 395nm LED-UV Lamp
Surface Preparation: The wood surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 10 %).
Recommended sanding grit for wooden floors: P100-P120
Recommended sanding grit for furniture, doors etc.: P120-P180
- Osmo LED Smart Oil is ready to use. Do not thin. Stir well.
- Buff one coat into the surface of the wood using a non-abrasive white pad, such as Osmo White SuperPad or similar. Apply approximately 15-20g/m2 to the wood surface and buff until no circular swirl marks remain on the wood surface.
- With the Osmo 395nm LED-UV lamp or similar, pass the curing lamp over the treated area slowly at a rate of approximately 5 seconds per foot with the lamp held at a height of 4-6 inches (10-15cm) above the wood surface.
- A second optional coat may be applied which will increase both surface durability and sheen.
- After the first coat has cured, lightly sand the surface with P320 grit sandpaper and remove sanding dust with a tack cloth.
- Apply a second thin coat of approximately 5-6g/m2 to the wood surface with a non-abrasive white pad, such as Osmo White SuperPad or similar. Buff the surface of the wood until no circular swirl marks remain on the wood surface and then cure with LED-UV lamp, as outlined above in step 3.
Once dried the surface is ready for regular use or packaging with no further cure period required.
Storage: 6 months if can is kept dry, closed tightly, and stored at temperatures between 5 °C and 35 °C. If thickened by frost, store 24-36 hours at room temperature before use.

The Osmo Polyx-Oil provides a beautiful and durable finish on my projects, and the staff at KJP are always helpful in providing the info I need.
Had to choose between Osmo Smart Oil and Clean Armor UV Resin. Products seemed to give similar finish with quick UV cure. Chose Osmo as Clean Armor almost twice the cost.
KJP contacted to ship to BC as dealer in Kelowna does not carry and dealer in Calgary was out of the 750 ml. KJP shipping was very fair and relatively quick. Very easy to deal with.
Tested the product on a small kitchen table. 80% of the time was prepping with 20% being finishing. 3 coats in one evening was no problem ending with a hard satin/semi gloss finish. UV curing light had been purchased on Aliexpress for $120. They call it a 600 watt but think output is 60 watt and had no problems curing the oil taking my time passing light 4 - 6 inches over surface. Have worked with regular Osmo before and application is much the same with the oil. I do not
find easy as it is relatively thick and requires a bit of effort to get an even 'thin" coat as recommended particularly the first coat as the applicator 'drags& until after the oil is aborbed into the grain. Subsequent costs are easier but still require some effort.
Overall pleased with the result. One concern with Osmo is the shelf life which is reported to be 6 months once opened. I am getting ready to do a larger for table top which should use up the can so shelf life shouldn't be a worry.
I used this on a large coffee table I built. Works great! Table turned out beautiful.
Full discloser, I am the world's worst lacquer and paint finisher. That being said the Osmo UV-Protection Oil is outstanding as far as application goes. Used a micro-fiber roller and foam brush for application and it went on great with minimal runs and zero streaking. As far as wood color integrity it has been excellent. Hard maple did not yellow out like some protectants tend to do and Brazilian walnut had a nice dark natural color to it. Time will tell on durability but 2 coats on an Adirondack chair seems to do the trick. It is expensive but if the chair survives the summer I will be purchasing a gallon next time around.
Some boards are damaged and they refused to change them. So sad and will avoid buying here.

Perfect easy to apply
Osmo 2K Wood Oil
Have used this on a table top before - this time on a bed frame. Easy to work with, relatively short drying time (8-10h to re-coat). Incredibly easy to apply and repair should the need arise. Satin Finish is matt but leaves a nice rich golden tone on maple (I believe the Matt would not change the original colour at all, but have not used this so cannot verify).
Osmo Polyx-Oil
Used it as a top coat for a hallway bench that had some 3/4 inch tiger wood as the seat. Nice product to work with and seems to leave a nice finish on hardwood. I would use it again for sure.
Easy to apply - results in a hard, wonderful finish and brings out the grain and beauty of the wood. A great product that I will recommend. The Polyx oil arrived well packaged and pristine!! Thanks

This stuff is pretty great. Dead easy to apply, won’t kill too many brain cells with fumes, and rock hard finish in two days. I’ve only used the clear Matt and gloss, not any of the colours. It’s a very natural finish that highlights natural

First, I'm really satisfied with the delivery process. I ordered the product on a Wednesday night, and I received it on the Friday morning. I haven't put to test the product that much, but it seems much more efficient as far as making my counter waterproof and stain proof than the regular oil for butcher block I used previously (bamboo countertop). It seems I won't be watching my countertop for stain or marks every 5 seconds, and it seems it's gonna be much easier to clean. So, very happy so far!
