I am not super impressed with quality of boards, I ordered 11 and more then half have some sort of bug (termite?) damage along the live edge that has to be removed and therefore destroys the live edge. Deep groves and holes throughout. Also I’ve never had “free shipping” cost me $60 before. The boards were planed well, and the shipping was quick, I would consider ordering again if the quality control was a little better. I would include pictures if I was able too.

I changed my review from two stars to four stars as Malek from KJP Select Hardwoods reached out to me promptly and offered to refund me for 6 of the 11 boards I had purchased. He informed me of the issues they had been having with Ash and made some great recommendations on other products I could purchase instead. I appreciate this kind of customer service and will be making orders in the future. Thank you Malek and KJP.

This is an odd review.

We often buy products such as appliances, electronics or household necessities online and often know what to expect. With this order from The Wood Vault and being my first, I had no idea what I was gonna get.

The key to my review is I communicated to the fine folks what my needs were, what I was using the medium for specifically and since I was not able to select the pieces out myself, to be my eyes and select the best pieces that would work for me.

Not only did I receive an informative email from Bruce suggesting which types of wood I should use for my project, but the pieces sent appear to me at least, beautiful and perfect for what I wanna do.

Never imagined a retailer making beautiful products such as they are and bringing them to the world of e-commerce at a reasonable price.

Shipping was totally smooth, fast and my items were packed with care. These guys really know what they are doing and have their customers’ perspectives in mind.

Just got my hands on some live edge charcuterie boards from KJP and I gotta say, I'm impressed. The quality of the wood is top notch. Clean cuts, beautiful grain, and the live edge gives each piece its own personality. If you're looking for something with character that’s ready to work with or finish, these are definitely worth checking out.

I’ve been happy with other products I’ve recieved from this store but the courier service that was chosen, has yet to provide my latest order. It would be nice if there were better shipping options. Tough in Canada I guess.

Love everything about this company from the ease of ordering to the quick delivery. I just wish i was colser so i could come see the lumber yard!

Boards were to be between 8 and 12" wide. The widest was 9.5. I was hoping to have at least one board of 10+ inches

The wood itself is of great quality. However I was disappointed to find that the planks were at the very end of the width spectrum they quote. This was my second order and my first order was at the high end. Sadly the low ends don’t make the best size for a charcuterie board
