Cherry Wood Dowels
These Cherry dowels are perfect for your woodworking, woodturning, and wood craft projects. Choose from three different sizes:
- 1/2" by 24" long
- 1" by 24" long
- 1-1/2" by 24" long
*Please note these dowels are not sanded and will need some additional work before using in a final project. They are produced on a moulder so often four tiny ridges are present and need to be "knocked back" with some sanding and a little bit of elbow grease! Please email us before ordering if this is unclear or if you have additional questions.

Walnut dowel is hard to find within Canada so I happy with it.

Wenge Dowel
Not really round. They have a ridge running along the length of the dowel. Not sure why it is there, but it looks like not good enough quality control. The 1/2 and 1 - inch maple dowels have this ridge. I didn't check other woods.

I was very happy with all varieties of dowels except for the mahogany ones they were very flat ovals and hard to get round. When they were round they were under sized by quite a bit.
First I want say thank you for the dowel rods you cut and made for my order. I will be purchasing more wood. Great pice and very reasonable with excellent fast shipping . Highly recommend to others who work with wood.
I was prepared for the diameter to fluctuate in size, but i was somewhat disappointed it turned up half an inch short in length. Still, i am able to continue my project. Otherwise, everything else i ordered was perfect!
I ordered 2-1 1/2" maple dowels and they were delivered in just a few days. The only issue I had was they both had a slight warp to them. This is just the nature of wood sometimes but, just a heads up if you need perfectly straight dowels.

Beautiful peice of wood
A little sanding and they will work perfect. Box was a little beat up but dowels were fine.
I was a bit disappointed when I found these not to be round. They appear to have been routered, leaving an oblong shape. I had to sand to get round. Still, the wood is very nice.

Good quality and consistent dimensions, I just wish it was available in 3/8”.
The dowels arrived in great condition. They were beautiful and prestine pieces. I used them on my cutting boards to give contrasting colour and they were noticed immediately by the recepients.

Our son absolutely loved the mixed dowels - the wood grain in each of them is beautiful! We can’t wait to see what he makes with them. It would have been nice to have a card in the box with the names of the woods.

Dowels aren’t perfectly round , they have some flat spots . So when using in a door you have to fill in spaces left by flat spots
