Choose from 2 different sizes of our 8/4 Roasted Maple Rough Cut Lumber Packs; 10 Board feet or 20 Board Feet. We will carefully handpick an assortment of boards in the pack size of your choice.

What should I expect in my Lumber Pack?

Although these boards have been skipped dressed to show colour and grain, they will still require some TLC and additional milling. If you would prefer to have the milling done for you - check out our S4S Roasted Maple Lumber.

*We always try to include the widest boards we have available at the time that meet the Rough Cut Lumber Pack specifications. Approximate board count is based on an average size of 6" x 48". It doesn’t get any more Canadian than this! The hardest of the maples and the tree that gives the sap to make tasty maple syrup. The torrefaction process turns maple’s typical creamy white colour to a beautiful chocolate brown. It smells as good as it looks! Excellent 1/4 inch thick pieces

The two pieces of 1/4 inch roasted maple that I received were of a consistent thickness and well surfaced. They contained no major flaws of a type that I would have had to work around. Shpping to BC was reasonably fast and actually relativley affordable.

excellent milling except for a knot

My plan for the S4S roasted maple (1-5/8" / 5-1/4" / 36") was for two guitar neck blanks. I was pleased that the milling was excellent. I was somewhat disappointed seeing a deep knot about half-way along one edge. After ripping the board in two, I confirmed that the knotty half is waste to me. But I've used the good half for a guitar neck. Overall, pleased with KJP.

I used this roasted maple for pool cue shafts, i haven't finished this batch yet but my previous order was excellent and played extremely well with mine and several of my friends cues.

Use it for an acent for cutting boards, love the dark chocolate color and smells like ground coffee when milled.

Staff picked the best pieces . Roasted maple used for laser engraving. A bit softer than some exotic wood but looks wonderful.

Malik packed my shipment & did a great job. When I ordered I asked for straight-grained boards, and you all delivered. Wonderful stuff — couldn’t have picked better myself. To call the boards 4/4 rough cut understates the quality. They came in at 15/16ths smooth four sides except for one small area there another pass through the planer would have removed the saw marks. That’s just the way I like it! I don’t buy much specialty wood, but I’ll definitely put KJP in the running next time I do! Thanks again!

First time using Roasted Maple before - LOVE this stuff. I love working with maple in general, but the natural color isn't my favorite looking. Meet "roasted maple". Still great to work with - but now darker all the way through without any stain. I finished with Odies Oil and it looks out of this world. I'll be buying more for future projects.

I do wish they made it in 6/4 though.

Very lovely wood, has almost a sparkle to the quartersaw grain. Easy to work, smells like campfire, but a bit splintery, be patient and careful.
