Le Limba présente une large gamme de couleurs allant du jaune clair au brun doré. Dans certains cas, on trouve des stries grises à noires, appelées limba noir. Les couleurs plus claires sont parfois appelées limba blanc. Avec le temps, le bois a tendance à foncer.
Le Limba noir est également très apprécié de nos clients luthiers qui l'utilisent pour fabriquer des guitares électriques à corps plein en raison de sa très faible densité et de son poids léger.
Les pièces que nous sélectionnons pour vous présenteront toujours des stries noires sur un pourcentage de la planche - parfois même une touche de brun orangé peut être trouvée.
Idéal pour l'artisanat, le travail à la scie à chantourner, l'intarsia, la sculpture sur copeaux, la gravure au laser, et bien plus encore !
Afin d'offrir un emballage plus protecteur pour l'expédition - nos longueurs sont souvent 1/4" inférieures aux tailles indiquées. Besoin d'une largeur ou d'une longueur plus grandes ? Veuillez nous envoyer un courriel pour un devis. Des frais de menuiserie sur mesure s'appliqueront.

Love the quality of the wood I've received KJP Select Hardwoods. I just received some 8/4 Black Limba. Beautiful grain, it will make some great pieces.
The plank i received only had 1/3 of the plank had black veins through it. The rest of the plank is plain with no black in the wood.

dont know how they do it but not only is the price for the lumber lower than anywhere else i can find shipping fees comming from Canada are half what they are coming from california i live in Orefgon so will do my lumber shopping from Canada & Tuck Frump

The 4/4 black limba piece is too warped to use, it’s nearly quarter sawn, would’ve been a good board for my application if not warped.
Box wood materials were just as ordered. The guy that milled the wood even called and asked about the projects I was using the wood for and made sure quality was given high priority. Thanks
