Choisissez parmi 2 tailles différentes de nos lots de bois brut en érable ondé 4/4 : 10 pieds-planche ou 20 pieds-planche. Nous sélectionnerons soigneusement un assortiment de planches dans la taille de lot de votre choix.

Les érables ondés ont la coloration que l'on retrouve sur les espèces individuelles, mais ils présentent un motif de grain bouclé qui est perpendiculaire à la direction du grain. Les boucles peuvent être très serrées ou plus espacées et sont parfois aussi appelées érable fiddleback ou érable tigré.

L'érable ondé se travaille bien, bien qu'un rabot à main aiguisé réduira la quantité de déchirure qui se produit. Il prend bien les finitions et les teintures et ne pose aucune difficulté de collage.

Ce bois est utilisé de nombreuses façons différentes. Il est mis en valeur comme bois principal sur les instruments ou comme accents sur les meubles. On le trouve également utilisé sur des tournages ou d'autres objets décoratifs. L'érable ondé peut vraiment donner du punch à un projet, mais attention à ne pas en abuser. Une petite armoire avec des tiroirs bouclés peut paraître élégante, tandis qu'une pièce entière fabriquée à partir de ce bois figuré peut être visuellement accablante.

Amazing Company, keep up the good work!!

I ordered 10 BF of ambrosia maple, and 10 BF of curly maple. I didn’t measure yet, but I’d say approximately 5 BF of the 20 BF order was curly ambrosia maple!! What I mean is, it was both ambrosia, and curly, in the same board. Never held anything so beautiful in my hands (don’t tell my wife I said that)
A few months back I got some hickory and tiger wood that was also amazing quality. I live on the other side of the country, and it’s worth ordering from these guys all day!! Keep up the good work guys, and thank you so much!! 😊

Figured maple is more than I expected

Figured maple is more than I expected. Quality is great.

Thin cut figured maple

This wood is for mandolin sides.
It has beautiful figure and even color on all the pieces I bought. The delivery was quick and all pieces were in good shape.

Nice figure, warped on arrival

Nice looking board but warped on arrival. Unusable for its intended project, but May be able to salvage it for something else. The roasted Birdseye S4S that came in the same order is perfectly straight.

2 pcs were pretty warped, 3 out of 5 were usable. I do like the sitka spruce packs I've bought, but the engleman spruce was not as nice, can't use much of it
