Good selection, would like to see all pieces at 2". Wood all in good condition.

Haven't used any yet but the selection looks good and I can see some great projects coming out of that box of mixed hardwood. Looking forward to getting into it.

Box was ok wish there was more exotic or selection. Don't need plane maple.would be happy with prettier wood like Ambrosio or even birds eye maple but received mostly ordinary hard maple

I got a bix packed 97 percent full of what i think i got most of was roasted maple since there was only one lableled. I got 40 percent roasted maple and i am very happy with that i love the smell and look of it. Im srill waiting on my strip box damn puurlator

I have not received this order. When I checked UPS tracking it has shown that the shipment is delayed in Lethbridge Alberta and i live in Weyurn Saskatchewan.
I am sure that the boxes will be what I am looking for as I have ordered off cut lumber before and they have been exactly what I was looking fore

The wood is amazing, great selection, my only wish is that the pcs were labeled, I can identify some but some I have no idea.

to me this means all different species, not three large chunks of one, two of another and the rest different. ie 3 maple,2 walnut. remember you wrote 8/4 mixed!

Wood off cut box was purchased to stock up for my winter carving projects.
Split my time between antler carving, stone carving and wood carving projects.
Nice to have a supply of interesting wood.

Overall I was very pleased with the off cut box, nice mix of wood species and the box was packed as full as could be. The only reason I give 4 stars is that the first picture on the website shows 4 boxes in the one picture, originally when I bought, I thought it was going to be 4 boxes for the stated price. Of course, about an hour after I ordered I realized that of course it was only one box, which is still a good price for that amount of wood, just not the amazingly great price I thought it was. In hindsight I could have realized this before ordering (and I do think I still would have ordered). I just think having the first picture show 4 boxes is slightly confusing, although I realize they are just trying to show examples of what the variety could look like. Overall, I was pleased with the product and would order again. Thanks!

I had to take away a star for one obviously defective blank (Ring shake on a piece of what I guess is Wenge renders it mostly useless except for small lathe projects) and one of the nice pieces of Walnut ended up with Case hardening honeycomb cracks (Can't blame them though - it wasn't obvious from any view until it was cut into) But the rest of it was a treasure trove of what will likely become bowl blanks or resawn into carving wood. Enjoyed the mix, only wish they'd have put some little mark on the end grain to identify the wood species, there's still a couple pieces that I'd love to re-order some lumber packs, but I don't know what species it is!

A great selection of wood, the box was packed tight with high quality wood. Only thing I'd like to see is the wood species labelled as there are some I've never used before.

I have bought multiple boxes of various offcuts from KJP before. This is the first time I'm not happy and probably wont gamble on this again. About 1/4 of the box was poplar. Which people always ask if its a hardwood and continues to be debated. I personally dont think it is and think its ugly which is why it gets used on painted parts. Re-watching the video now there might be the odd piece in there that could be seen as maple on video. But not to the level I got. There was a real nice piece of cherry and a few decent pieces of walnut but overall not pleased.

Good material, but need more darker wood

I was very disappointed with the box of 8/4 hardwood offcuts I received. Definitely not up to KJP standards, based on previous orders I picked up at the store in Ottawa. Poor selection and some of the pieces are unusable. Not at all like what is advertised in their video online. I love KJP Hardwoods and visit the store whenever I'm in Ottawa, but i doubt I will order this product online again.

The offcuts box was a great value for the price and can be used in a variety of small projects. There was an issue with shipping but this was not KJP's fault and their customer service did everything to make it right!

The offcuts are perfect for my hobby shop. Many pieces are larger than I had thought they would be and have turned into a few lovely, usable bowls. Have been very pleased with my orders and the delivery has always been timely. Will order again for sure.
